The "Announced Stock Earnings" downloader retrieves all stocks whose earning release occurs within the next 60 days.
The downloader stores in a custom database "earningsannounced" the following data:
Date: The announced release date (could be not confirmed)
Etime: Release time (Could be: Before Market Open, Before market open or Time Not supplied)
Estimate: The EPS (earnings per share) estimate or consensus delivered by analysts
Note that this downloader returns earnings release data for U.S. and International stocks. For International stocks, your ticker symbols must be compatible with Yahoo symbology.
Example: For "Dollarama Inc." stock (DOL) listed on Toronto stock exchange (TO), the symbol name should be: DOL.TO
Here is a very interesting function that calculates, for a stock, the number of days remaining before the next release date: Next Earnings Release In Days
If you want to get future announcements of stock splits, you can check the other downloader I have created and shared on QuantShare sharing server: Announced Stock Splits
Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
