This is the first part of an options symbols list for US stocks. There are two parts; the original list was split because the file was too big. The current list contains 27098 symbols, but when combined together the complete list has 45773 symbols. You can download the second part of the list at the following URL: US Options symbols N-Z. The options symbols are retrieved from the NASDAQ website (ftp://ftp.nasdaqtrader.com/symboldirectory/).

The symbols data contain the following fields:
Name: Option symbol name. This is a unique identifier for each options security.
Name1: Underlying security name.
Name2: Option Type. Specify whether the option is a put or a call. P for Put and C for Call.
Name3: Option Closing Type. Specify whether the option is allowed to trade on late hours. N for Normal Hours and L for Late Hours.
Fullname: Company title or name.
Expiration date: The option expiration date
Strike: The option strike price or the price at which the contract may be exercised.

You can download EOD quotes data for all these options using the following downloader: Options EOD Quotes

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
