I am trying to download dow jones industry group (eg. DJUSFT) data but yahoo doesn't have historical data on this. Google has it and I tried to download it but not sure what the exact symbol would be for the EOD google downloader.

Thanks

I checked that and was not sure. Eg. when I try to look historical data for DJUSFT the url shows

https://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=INDEXDJX%3ADJUSFT&ei=wzdqWZGYEsa3jAGN27gQ

does that mean the symbol would be INDEXDJX%3ADJUSFT or INDEXDJX:DJUSFT
