Number of Stocks per Industry

This pivot table displays the number of stocks for each industry.

Each industry is displayed in a row and a second column "Count" would display the number of stocks that belong to each industry.

You would need to update the industry field of each stock first. You can let QuantShare do that for you by following instructions here:
http://www.quantshare.com/sa-583-let-quantshare-manage-your-list-of-securities

You must also have up-to-date data so make sure you download data first.

In case you want to display the number of stocks per sector, right click on this pivot table (after adding it in a dashboard), select "Update Rows/Columns/Values", click on "Formula" under "Rows" panel at the top then replace the "industry()" formula by "sector()"
