Accounts Introduction

Updated on 2010-10-22

In QuantShare, you can create and work with several accounts. Each account is associated with one directory/path in your hard disk. This directory contains the account settings, trading objects and also your databases.

You can for example create an account for US Stocks, another one for Indian or UK stocks and another one for Forex currencies.

On QuantShare main form, you can see the current active account at the bottom-left corner.

You can also associate the same directory to two accounts. In this case, these accounts will contain the same databases and trading objects. However, some application settings and visual settings (such as charts) will be different.

You can see all your account by selecting Accounts then Change Account.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
