QuantShare is an advanced charting/technical/fundamental analysis software that combines several powerful tools. We can do almost everything with QuantShare and we will show you how in the next lessons. QuantShare also come with a subscription to a sharing server where you can download trading items created by other QuantShare users. We will talk more about the benefits of the sharing server in the next lessons. Please note that QuantShare does not provide data (fundamental, quotes or news). However it has a very powerful downloader that allows you to automate the process of downloading data from the Internet. Usually you even don't need to create these downloaders since a lot of users have already created many of them. You can already use them to download quotes for almost all markets, fundamental data, news data, short selling data... First Steps The first thing you need to do is to add a list of symbols and download data for these symbols. QuantShare comes with a database populated with US Stocks. It contains also a downloader that gets EOD data from Yahoo servers. Get Symbols & Data - Select "Symbol" then "Auto-Manage Symbols" - From the left list, check one or several exchanges (QuantShare will download symbols for these exchanges) - You can use the "Search" input box to find your exchanges - Check "Force the update of symbol information" - Click on "Save" After few seconds, two forms should appear. Security Symbols Changes: - Click "Accept" to get the new list of symbols Install Downloaders for Selected Exchanges: This form displays the downloaders that will be installed. - Click "Install" to continue Important Notes: - These packages are assembled by us and they contain downloaders that were shared by other users. - Not all exchanges are included. A lot of data downloaders for other exchanges can be found on the sharing server.
