Hello.

Is it possible to login to a secure site via the downloader and navigate to a page to download a csv file and have it saved to the local hard drive?

At this point, i'm not even interested in bringing the data into QS. Just downloading a file via a secure site.

Any guidance here would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Yes, it is possible if you can find which parameters the website uses for the login process.
Another solution would be to use the URL-SCRIPT of the downloader. There you can use the "Functions.Browser" class to create a browser and manipulate it programmatically.

If you are interested in this project, you can also hire one of our programmers. More info at support [at] quantshare [dot] com.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
