This item downloads historical quotes data for the 6980 securities listed in the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The list of symbols, which contains the symbol name and the companies' title, can be downloaded here: Frankfurt Stock Exchange Symbols.
The quotes data are grouped and downloaded by month, which make it faster than if the data were downloaded separately for each symbol. The end-of-day data is updated at the end of each month; therefore, you can get the latest data only when a month ends. If you want to download the most recent quotes, you should use another downloader. You can use for example the Yahoo downloader item (Yahoo EOD historical quotes), which can download historical quotes data for the Frankfurt Stock Exchange securities as well as the other 7 Germany's stock exchanges.
Another important thing that you should know about is that several securities have quotes' errors; the two main problems are:
Long body bars, obviously the high and low prices are not reported correctly.
The close, open and low prices are the same, but not the high price.
These two problems, as well as any other one, can be solved by using the Scripting engine. The idea is to detect possible bad high and low prices and then update these values (generally by assigning them the close price).
