How does sort an array programatically (Not by clicking column heading)?

I don't know which tool you are referring to but you cannot sort a column programmatically for tools such as Screener or watchlist.

I think it is needed BADLY. Right now in simulation of trading strategy it picks the stock alphabetically and that is WRONG. I can not squeeze the maximum from my strategy in simulation.

Sorry I misunderstood your question.

You can sort symbols (signals) using:
SetSimLongRank function.

Example: to pick stocks with highest close price
SetSimLongRank(close);
