On Friday I was using QS, however, the same evening I was unable to log in, I tried a couple of times but could not, this time even the backup server was down, and my email was also bounced back. The same thing happened last month on the 4th also, and it was for just a few hours. But, this time it took more than a day or so, and due to this I lost my Saturday, which I generally reserve for the weekend analysis purpose.
As you know I have a lifetime license, and it has been more than 10 years since I purchased it, now I request you to kindly permanently unlock my account so that I can use it even if your server is down. Please consider this request and advise me on how to proceed.
I am aware of the fact that I can lock it to my laptop to use it offline, but very often it automatically unlocks. I hope you understand my concern and will help in resolving it.
Yes, even with the lifetime license locked to the hardware, periodically Quantshare will go online to check for an update, if it can't access the server, then you can't use Quantshare. If the server is available, once in QS unlock and relock till the next time it wants to check for an update.
I guess when the servers are no longer viable QS will stop operating, a shame as I find this package so flexible, plus I don't really want to invest the time learning a new system as a on and off again trader.
So yes, it would be great if once locked the online check was disabled in the software.
