How to install the previous version of QuantShare

Updated on 2012-01-26

This article applies mainly to beta versions of QuantShare, as sometimes in a new beta version of QuantShare, a feature may be broken or something isn't working as expected.

And while waiting for the next release to fix the issue (which usually occur within the next few days, between 1 and 3 days), you may want to download the previous stable version of QuantShare.

Steps:

- Click on "Start" button in Windows
- Select "Run..."
- Type the following command line then enter "OK":

"C:\Program Files\CTrading\QuantShare\installer" previous

Make sure that the path to the "installer" file is correct and replace the above line if necessary.

You will be prompted with a message that tells you whether you want to download the previous stable version. Click on "Yes" to start the new installation process.

If you do not find the "Run" command (Example in Windows 7), then use the following shortcut to open it:

Windows log key + R

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
