How to display two stocks on the same chart

Updated on 2011-02-24

- Right click on a chart then select "Create a new pane".
- In the new pane, click on "Add Indicator" (Top-Left corner icon) then select "External Symbol" tab.
- Select the stock or security you want to display in the new pane then click on "OK".

The first stock is displayed in the top pane while the second one is displayed in the bottom pane.
The second security data will be adjusted to the first one. If you take any vertical line, the correspondent bar for each stock will reference the same date.

If you right click on the second pane and select "Edit Formula", you will find the formula that was used to plot candlestick data of the second stock.
The function that was used is "PlotCandleStick1".

If you have many formulas in that pane, click on the Left and Right arrows to switch between these formulas.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
