Hi All,

I stumbled across QuantShare and love the application. Still on trial but is so so much easier than coding up Matlab like I have previously been doing.
I just had a question and wanted to know what the rest of the community does....

I trade v simple S&P 500 strategies - mainly as I am not a great coder. With QS the complexity of strategies 'can' become more complex.
How do you guys implement these in live trading.

- Do you use QuantShare Premium to do this - or is Live trading not possible yet
- Do you code up your strategy in another programing language like C++ Java etc
- Do you use another application such as NinjaTrader / Tradestation
- Do you manually implement trades

Looking forward to your comments and Happy Trading

Welcome here,

Live trading with Interactive Brokers is currently possible but in beta release. We recommend you test your systems in paper or demo accounts first.

In any case, implementing strategies in QS, even very complex ones, is simpler than using C++, Java or the other trading platforms you referred.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
