The Ocean Tomo 300 Patent index is an index based on the value of intellectual property. It is composed of 300 companies that have the most valuable patents relative to their book value.
Companies that have valuable patents compared to their book value are selected from different market capitalization deciles to constitute the index. The Ocean Tomo Patent Index is a capitalization-weighted index and is rebalanced annually.
