Hi QS, I see this is listed as a new feature in version 3.4.0. How do you use it?

Hi Dave,

You can protect your trading system. If you want to protect an AMM, just include this in a trading system and protect the latter.

To do this:
- In the "Simulator Manager", click on "Manage" button at the top
- Select your trading system
- In the top bar, click on the "+" icon (in case it is there - to add more options)
- Select "Tools -> Encrypt Checked Items"

@QS, thanks. Can you give some details on the type of encryption used and any caveats? I.e. if the trading system is shared either on the server or otherwise that there is no way for any part to be used without the password? I'm specifically asking if the AMM is available in anyway without encryption.

TripleDES encryption is used. This is a new feature but we did many tests and all the data including AMM should be protected.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
