Can you access custom functions from the downloader script events?

I tried to do this and assumed you can't... then saw a blog entry that said the custom functions are available in every plugin. So I thought I'd check.

What I meant is that the custom functions can be used within the vector-based language in every plug-in.

The custom functions cannot be used with other scripts such as the downloader scripts.

The Global script has some functions that compile vector-based formulas and then extract results.
