I used to use Amibroker, until realising how great Quantshare is!
one of the things i used the most with Amibroker was an exploration
I could really easily for one instrument get a list of all the monthly closes with the values of indicators at that point in time
or the values for other timeframes
the nearest equivalent is the screener, and the use of addcolumn
but i dont want the last value, or one value, I want all the values so that i can then export them to excel

how could i achieve this best in Quantshare?

thanks all

Hi,

You can try the pivot table tool. You can do plenty of things with this.
"Analysis -> Pivot Tables"

TO display for example the daily close price for multiple symbols and dates.
Add a "Symbols" row then a "Dates" row. Leave "Columns" empty and add a "Values" field with "variable = close;"
There you can also specify the dates which will be used to analyze the data.

What I want to do is display in 1 column the closing monthly prices for just one symbol, then another column would be the ROC(12) for example
I can get the symbol and a value and its a monthly value, however the pivot has a rebalancing that i think could be the issue, as its only set for daily
where even though my time period is set for monthly, it still returns daily amounts
it would good to have a way of just displaying weekly or monthly information, as an added feature

thanks for the suggestion
