Hello everyone,

I'm trying to test the halloween (sell in may and go away), January effect or different calendar, efficiency or other anomalies on the EuroStoxx 50 index for the last 20 years (daily close).
Does anyone have a clue on how to approach this (were to get 20y daily quote prices for euro stoxx 50)?
Thank you very much in advance!
Phil

The Yahoo ticker symbol for that index is $STOXX50E

Regarding the code and for the "sell in may...", you can type something like:
sell = month() > 4 and month() <= 10;
buy = !sell;

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
