With the U.S. stock market the second most expensive in the world (measured as total market cap / GDP) I am trying to develop a trading strategy in international stocks and bonds.

Where do I get historical data for international stock indexes such as Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore, UK, Germany, France, Switzerland, Canada, Mexico etc *in local currency*? You get extra credit if you can point me towards bond market indexes in local currency as well :-)

Thanks.

Thanks clonex. The Quandl page for international stock markets is: http://www.quandl.com/markets/global-stock-markets. However they get most of their data from Yahoo. Does anyone know if the data is in local currency or in USD?

Also, the interest rates data from Quandl for foreign governments is no longer available for download. Where can I get International historical government bond yields and corporate bond indexes?

Thanks.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
