Try running the file as an admin.

Best Answer
Try the following:
- Run QuantShare first
- Right click on the trading item file and select "Properties".
- In the new form, near "Opens with", click on "Change".
- Select "QuantShare" and make sure that the "always use this program to open these files" checkbox is checked.
- Double click on the downloaded file (.qsh) again.

If this doesn't work, right click on the trading item file, select "Open with" then select "QuantShare".

Thanks for the quick response, i have been able to open the file with your instructions above but have now stumbled upon a new problem when trying to download data via the manager for the indicator below (as per sreenshot). Does this indicator still work?

Instead of creating a new thread - to download data does one have to be logged in as administrator to avoid getting the error below? I take it there is various functionality on this platform that requires one to be logged in as admin? (Might have to try organise something with IT)

You must run QuantShare as an administrator to avoid these kind of errors.
Your computer is currently not allowing QuantShare to open and save data.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
