You have provided ample guidance and explanation for custom databases, but I do not fully follow how to best manage quote databases.
For example, I intended to create two different quote databases, first contains some little used quotes (delisted),
and another containing more regularly updated/used symbols+quotes.

I have the data download . . . how do I best:
- determine which data is where
- best practice for managing this data ongoing
- referring to each separately or together in the software (models, etc.)

Keep up the good work + Thanks!
Scott

The best way to do is to create a group for each category (Symbol -> Bulk Updater).
Create two downloaders, in the first downloader set the symbols of the first category and in the second downloader set the symbols of the second category.
When using a trading strategy or analyzing rules, simply select the appropriate group in the "Symbols Selection" control.

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
