Because it isn't connecting for me. I'm unable to even select "Load" under the RS tab as instructed by the help file.
I've added my login and password to the settings so that shouldn't be the problem. Also, is there (or will there be) a way to download data from stockscreen123 instead
of portfolio123?

Yes it is working. What happens when you click on "Load"? Normally, all your ranking systems should be loaded in the list view.
What exactly do you want to download from stockscreen123?

I'm considering switching to stockscreen123 since its cheaper and from what I can tell, does everything I need from p123. So I would be downloading fundamentals, ranks, etc. A big part of what I use p123 for is custom market breadth data (using the # of stocks a screen buys and a spreadsheet).
Is quantshare made by the same people as the 123 services? I noticed some of the code syntax is similar?

Nothing happens after the "Loading Ranking Systems, please wait" message?
Please try again then go to the "Trace" directory and send us the last two or three files to support@quantshare.com
The "Trace" directory can be found under the QuantShare directory.
Example: C:\Program Files\CTrading\QuantShare\Trace
It is possible to create download items that automatically log in your stockscreen123 and download the specified data. You can then use the composite plug-in to easily create your market breadth indicators.
I will create some stockscreen123 and portfolio123 downloaders so you can see how it works.
QuantShare is not made by the same poeple who made portfolio123. The indicators you found in "F&F" tab are the indicators of the Portfolio123 service. We added them so you can directly download the ranking result of each stock (over time) for these indicators.
