Dear QS,
excellent new group feature! Convinced this will further boost the exchange of trading ideas, systems and inquiries.

I want to open a group on TAA / rotational strategies exchange, but before getting too creative:
- Any suggestion on group structure / nomenclature?
- Would it make sense to pre-create topic structure to keep an oversight?

Any suggestion from fellow QS-er?

Thanks, Alex

Hi Alex,

Not sure I understand exactly what you mean by group structure / nomenclature.

To clarify, should I just choose topic, content and group name by myself, or do you have a structure in your mind I / we could use to keep it clear and easy to use?

Maybe pure formality, just let me know.. then I delete to avoid confusion

Alex, this should be your group. So, yes, you decide what your group's name is, content/trading items to add...

Thanks, and here we go:

"Copy with pride" - Collaborative Trading Strategy Development
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Idea is to form a group of 5-10 people interested in jointly developing trading strategies for "trading for a living".
- Idea collection, joining brains & hands, developing & fine-tuning
- "All on the table" approach: Sharing all strategies and docs through QS, Google, GitHub (for version control and commenting)
- "Helping hand" attitude: Seniors teach juniors, nerds share C# knowledge
- Maybe regular Skype calls for live exchange

Proposal to catch similar minded: in the beginning long only, trend / mean reversion, no day trading

Teaser alert: .. Chill-out session at Mexican beach once first money is rolling?

If interested just join in or drop us a line, Clonex & Alex

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
