Balance Sheet Data

This item downloads numbers available in U.S. companies' balance sheet. The data is retrieved for all U.S. stocks and it includes the following figures:

Receivables: This field includes the money owed to the company by its customers and other entities (receivable) (in millions of dollars) minus provisions for bad debt
Inventory: The value of goods and materials that are not yet sold (in millions of dollars)
Intangibles: Non-physical assets; intangible assets include goodwill, patents, trademarks, research and development
Current Assets: Total assets that will be converted into cash in less than one year. Current Assets is a measure of the liquidity of a company. (In millions of dollars)
Current Liabilities: The amount in millions of dollars owed to creditors that must be paid by a company within one year
Long Term Debt: The portion of debt that will not be paid during the coming one-year period
Preferred Equity: The total equity of preferred stockholders. It is calculated by subtracting the common equity from the shareholders' equity
Common Equity: The total equity of common stockholders. It is calculated by subtracting the preferred equity from the shareholders' equity
Book Value: This is the book value of common equity per share. It is the common equity value divided by the number of shares outstanding (common shares that have been purchased by investors)

The data is stored in the "Balance_Sheet" database (The database is automatically created the first time you use this item).

Valuation ratios for US stocks
