The Short Cover Simulation Indicator is a technical analysis tool that allows you to transform any short and cover rules into a measure of the performance of a trading strategy that shorts a stock given the short rules you have specified and covers it given your cover rules.

The short cover simulation indicator will calculate for each bar, the average performance of trades that meet your buy/sell criteria within a specific number of past bars. For each bar, you will know whether a strategy is profitable or not for a specific stock and trade or use this information to create another rule.

This indicator is opposite to Buy Sell Simulation Indicator. I have only changed one line of code. In fact, the true author is user with nickname: Bugman

Trading financial instruments, including foreign exchange on margin, carries a high level of risk and is not suitable for all investors. The high degree of leverage can work against you as well as for you. Before deciding to invest in financial instruments or foreign exchange you should carefully consider your investment objectives, level of experience, and risk appetite. The possibility exists that you could sustain a loss of some or all of your initial investment and therefore you should not invest money that you cannot afford to lose. You should be aware of all the risks associated with trading and seek advice from an independent financial advisor if you have any doubts.
